We are an authentic Montessori school for the toddler and primary age groups (16m to 6yrs).
Discovery Montessori was founded in 2017 with a vision to become a child-focused school leading children into the universe of exploration, curiosity and global citizenship. The school follows the vision of Dr. Maria Montessori - Founder of Montessori method of education.
With a beautiful campus, Discovery Montessori comprises different environments for 6-month-olds to 6-year-olds. With dedicated faculty certified by the Association Montessori Internationale, Netherlands (AMI), and Montessori materials of international quality standards, our school provides an optimum environment where learning happens effortlessly and joyfully, through spontaneous self-exploration.
Established by T V Dhanapathi Foundations (Trust) with sheer passion, integrity and commitment, Discovery Montessori is one of the best authentic Montessori schools in Vellore city.

Our Mission
The mission of Discovery Montessori is to provide a nurturing Montessori environment in which children are supported and respected so that they can grow to fulfill their individual potential. Discovery Montessori educates children using the authentic Montessori approach—a multi-sensory curriculum that allows for individualized teaching and for children to learn and be challenged at their own pace as they develop academically. As a community that fosters self-confidence, leadership, and respect for self and others, Discovery Montessori encourages students to grow as self-motivated, intellectually engaged learners who will serve their larger communities as both accomplished students and ambassadors of peace. We help children build discovery, skills, and independence to grow into adults who are self-motivated and love learning.

Our Primary Montessori Environments are designed for children from three to six years old and is truly a gift to your child. The learning environment offers your child the opportunity to nurture his individual development within the context of a group setting. The result? Self-confidence, joy, and a lifelong love of learning.
Child Centered (Not teacher centered)
Unlike traditional classrooms, where all children are expected to pay close attention to the teacher, our program does the opposite – the teacher is trained to closely observe your child’s interests, tendencies, and needs. You won’t see the teacher standing at the front of the classroom, but rather down at your child’s level, engaged with her or a small group.

Hands-on learning
The scientifically designed Montessori materials help your child learn through hands-on use and exploration. Through continued use, she develops a concrete understanding of abstract concepts, such as mathematics, providing a solid foundation for learning in the future.
One Size Does Not Fit All
Instead of a top-down curriculum based on age, the teacher is trained to respect your child’s unique potential and connects him with the lesson best suited at that precise moment of development. Your child will be challenged according to his ability, not to a generic standard.
Your child will be introduced to a broad range of concepts and activities in individual and small-group lessons. Your child gets to choose meaningful activities to explore, repeat, and perfect.
